Wine Tasting - Goodfellow Family Cellars with Owner and Winemaker Marcus Goodfellow
Missoula Wine Merchants

Tuesday, April 29th, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
It’s been a few years since Marcus Goodfellow has joined us for a wine tasting in Missoula and we are so excited to welcome him back on April 29th!
Marcus Goodfellow has been making wine in the Willamette Valley since 2002 when made 186 bottles of Pinot Noir using the facilities at Westry Winery in McMinnville. He called the fledgling operation Matello, which means “little fool” in Italian. He explained it this way: “I’ve always had an affinity for jesters and fools, and it seems to be a bit of a totem. Whether it suits the winery or we suit the fool is beyond me. Perhaps a bit of both.”
From those 186 bottles in the beginning to 4000 cases annually, Marcus has become one of the most revered and respected winemakers in the valley. His constant quest for vineyards which yield the best results from whichever varietal he is working with, be it Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, or Pinot Blanc, have proved time and again his incredible gift for making wine. He has a wealth of knowledge and this is an incredible opportunity to taste a great lineup of wines and hear from the man himself.
